On January 19th we are proud to present our 26th Annual Celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. This is a free family event open to the whole San Diego Community to come together and celebrate our Unity in Diversity. This is a wonderful introduction to WorldBeat Center and a great opportunity to meet and work with our our dynamic staff and volunteers.
On Febuary 14th and 15th we present the 34th Annual Tribute to the Legends live at WorldBeat Center . This two day festival honors the great Reggae Legends and is the annual Fundraiser that support all the free festivals and programs the WBC offers throughout the year. For this event we are looking for energetic and committed Cultural Warriors for this high intensity production. This is a world class festival so we need volunteers who are strong, intelligent and work well in a team environment.
There are also a variety of Volunteer positions available year round at our active center. From working in the garden, welcoming at the front desk, working the Coffee Cart and the One World Cafe, doing marketing and social networking, helping with classes – to cutting edge technology projects including live streaming, creating and editing video and audio. If you want to contribute and be a part of our conscious and socially progressive community there is a place for you at the WorldBeat Center.
