28th Annual San Diego Women’s Drum Circle

Celebrate 28 years of rhythm, sisterhood and community with the San Diego Women’s Drum Circle at the WorldBeat Cultural Center on Saturday, October 3. For nearly three decades, the circle has brought women together through drumming, movement and connection, creating a welcoming space for both longtime participants and women experiencing the circle for the first time.

The anniversary celebration begins with a community potluck from 5–6 PM, followed by the Drum Circle from 6–8:30 PM. The evening will include drumming and dancing, special music and sound healing offerings, and an opportunity raffle featuring a grand-prize djembe and other gifts donated by community members. Participants are encouraged to bring a drum or instrument and a dish to share, although extra drums and instruments will be available.

This is a women-only event and all levels of drumming experience are welcome. The San Diego Women’s Drum Circle is traditionally a highly attended gathering, so those interested in attending are strongly encouraged to contact the organizers in advance at [email protected].
