Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop with Laroye Aña

Join us at the WorldBeat Cultural Center for a special Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop with Indira “Laroye” Leneman, also known as Laroye Aña, Cuban choreographer, professional dancer and instructor born and raised in Havana and now based in Los Angeles.

Through movement and rhythm, Laroye will share the richness of Afro-Cuban dance and its deep connections to African cultural traditions. Her extensive career as a performer and educator has taken her across the U.S. and internationally, with performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Ford Theatre, Disney California Adventure and Grand Performances, as well as appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with James Corden. She has taught at UCLA, USC, CSU Fullerton, UC Riverside and numerous national and international dance festivals.
