Master Dance Class with Vânia Amara

A native of Bahia, Brazil, Vânia Amaral has had an extensive career as a dance and singer with the premier folkloric companies of Bahia and continues to perform in the United States and Europe. She has toured with Vivir Brazil, Aguas de Bahia, Ballet Floclorico do Brasil along with teaching master classes in dances and songs of the Orixas from cultural centers to universities across the county.
She is a member of Bloco Afro Ile Aiyé and an Iyalorişa of the Ile Ase Kalè Bokun house of Candomblé. She will teach in the traditional method in which Candomble member learn these revered dances of the Orishas.
