We invite you to support our mission by giving this Tuesday\, November 30th. \n\n\nWays You Can Give\n\nDonate online by clicking HERE\nGive your time by volunteering. Click for more details.\n\nPlease make checks payable to WorldBeat Cultural Center\nmail to: WorldBeat Cultural Center\,2100 Park Blvd\nSan Diego\, CA\, 92101 \nWhat We Do\nEach year numerous schools\, universities\, and organizations learn about different cultures through annual programming featuring world music\, dance\, plays\, lectures\, educational programs\, and cultural celebrations. \nOur main goal is to heal the world through music\, art\, dance\, and culture. \nWorldBeat Center is also a member of the NOISE Project\, a collaboration between a group of community-based organizations (ICBOs)\, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology\, and advisors. Our mutual goal is to improve equity\, diversity\, and inclusion in the sciences. We want to change the way that science is done. We use Community-led Participatory Action Research and Grounded Theory approaches in our community-led research project and use the arts to communicate our learnings and results. \nWe also offer gardening workshops which connect them to nature. Also\, WorldBeat Center offers the community free yoga and holistic classes year-round. Our Outdoor Classroom offers programming in food justice\, nutrition\, culture through ethnobotany\, sustainability\, plant music research\, respect for the local environment\, and citizen science using the Celebrate Urban Birds Project from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. WorldBeat Center also opens doors to community events\, cultural holidays and LGBTQ events. \nWorldBeat Center has also developed the African American Heritage and Diaspora Museum to showcase the untold stories of the African Americans and the African Diaspora through a community lens using artifacts and community art. \nYour support (financial\, service or time) will ensure we can continue our annual programming and new projects.
