DR. KWAKU PERSON-LYNN
Dr. Kwaku Person-Lynn is a third generation native of Los Angeles, He was the first person of Afrikan descent to graduate from UCLA's Individual Ph.D Program, . He is currently a professor at Loyola Marymount University in Afrikan American Studies, a historian, musicologist author of two books, over 100 articles, essays and chapters in books published and teaches history classes to the community in Leimert Park and Black History In the 1970s he was one of only four Afrikan American executives and producers in the record business at A & M Records, and also served as an administrator at Charles Drew Post Graduate Medical School. He recently produced his first film, a 90 minute documentary entitled Afrikan World Civilizations. He states that his greatest work is educating and opening up the minds of young students in the hopes of helping them develop into well-rounded informed human beings to make a better world.
