Pato Banton Peace festival review

The first Peace festival in Tijuana, Mexico took place at el Foro (Old Jai Alai) on Saturday June sixth of 2004. The event was to bring peace among us, and to liberate our souls. Everyone seemed to have a great time listening to the beats of reggae music.

The Festival started at 8: 30 with CANAMO a local band in Tijuana. Then, DE RAIZ who is also from Tijuana gave a great performance on stage. KALI MA filled the crowed with spiritual music and B-SIDE PLAYERS brought in their Latin American rhythms, causing the audience to ask for more after their performance. Noel who enlightens the audience with her great African moves, danced to the beat of Adama Diop an awesome drummer player. Both are teachers at the WORLDBEAT CULTURAL CENTER in San Diego and they will shortly be at the WORLDBEAT CULTURAL CENTER in Tijuana, Mexico. PATO BANTON being the "Headlining Star" closed the Peace Festival giving his best to the public with an excellent performance of reggae music, everyone seem to be singing and enjoying the show. The event was phenomenal; thanks to the great support of IMJUV who will receive a Bob Marley Peace Award on our next event MIDNITE in Tijuana Tilly’s on august Friday the 13th for supporting the Tijuana Youth.
